The painting of Yemaya is featured within this installation erected for the orisha. The fabrics represent her colors, the blues of the ocean. In the foreground, the pedestals are draped in sand-colored fabric and are covered with sand and seashells, starfish and sand dollars. They represent an extension of the painting's foreground--an extension of the sea floor. (See the Alma Boricua installation for more details.)
